Water is an integral part of life on this planet. It is an odorless, tasteless, substance that covers more than three-fourths of the Earth's surface. Water is constantly being cycled between the atmosphere, the ocean and land. This cycling is a very important process that helps sustain life on Earth. Scientists have discovered that about the same amount of water on earth now that there was when the dinosaurs roamed our planet. The hydrologic cycle takes place in the hydrosphere,this is the region containing all the water in the atmosphere and on the surface of the earth. The four major parts of the water cycle or precipitation, evaporation, transiration, and condensation.
